Stansted Airport to Victoria Transfer – Fixed Price Against the Budget Coach
A Stansted Airport to Victoria transfer is a fixed-price Mercedes chauffeur, around 60 to 85 minutes door to door and from £201 one way, running in both directions 24/7. The return leg, Victoria to Stansted Airport, is the same fixed fare and the same route in reverse.
This journey is one of the routes on our luxury Stansted airport transfer page, which covers every destination we drive from the airport with the same Mercedes fleet, the same met-at-arrivals pickup and the same fixed-price promise.

Victoria sits around 40 miles south-west of Stansted Airport, one of the destinations on our full London route list from Stansted. The route runs the M11 and the North Circular before crossing south towards the river, and in normal traffic that’s around 60 to 85 minutes. Victoria is also where the budget coaches from Stansted terminate, which is the real comparison this page is built to answer honestly.

All prices are fixed and all-inclusive, agreed before you travel, in both directions. Final quote depends on exact pickup or drop-off address, vehicle choice and any additional stops. No surge pricing, no hidden fees.
Every fare includes in-terminal meet-and-greet inside the Stansted arrivals hall, flight tracking so a delayed landing doesn’t cost you the booking, and 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time. The £10 Express Set Down charge at the terminal is absorbed in the price shown, and so is the ULEZ charge and the Congestion Charge where the journey into Victoria crosses into the zone – the airport itself sits outside both, the charges belong to the journey, not the pickup. Split seven ways, £299 works out at £43 a head for the whole run, straightforward for a family or a group heading to the same address.
Victoria, the Coach Station and the Rail Interchange
Victoria is one of the busiest transport interchanges in London. Victoria Coach Station, a short walk from the rail station, is where National Express and the other budget coach operators terminate their Stansted services, and Victoria rail station itself runs Southern and Gatwick Express services out to the south coast. Add the Apollo Victoria Theatre and the government offices around Victoria Street, and the area carries a genuine mix of commuters, theatre-goers and travellers changing between two very different networks.
MILE5 also covers the neighbouring government district on the drive to Westminster, a short distance further along the same corridor.
Why the Coach Isn’t the Fair Comparison
A budget coach from Stansted to Victoria Coach Station is genuinely the cheapest way to make this run, and MILE5 won’t pretend otherwise. What it doesn’t advertise as clearly is the journey time once traffic on the M25 or the North Circular is heavy – a scheduled 1 hour 45 minutes can run well past two and a half hours, coaches run less frequently late at night, and there’s a hard luggage allowance per passenger. A fixed-price chauffeur costs more than the coach fare, but the price and the time are both fixed before you travel, with no queue at the coach station and no limit on luggage beyond the vehicle’s own capacity.
Victoria Chauffeur vs the Stansted Express vs a Hire Car
For one person on a fixed budget, the coach is the honest starting point – here’s how the three options actually compare.
| Option | Journey time | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| MILE5 chauffeur | 60-85min | Door to door, fixed price and fixed time, no coach-station queue, no luggage limit |
| National Express coach | 1h45-2h30+ | Cheapest option by far, but journey time is traffic-dependent and can run well past the scheduled time; fewer departures late at night |
| Stansted Express | 48min to Liverpool St + a change | Wins on time and price to Liverpool Street itself, but Victoria needs a Tube or rail change on top, which adds time and doesn’t help with luggage or a group |
For a group with luggage, or anyone arriving after the coaches thin out for the night, the better comparison is a pre-booked chauffeur against an app-based ride hailed at the kerb – see MILE5’s comparison of Uber Exec against Uber Lux.
What Running This Route Has Taught Us
The Stansted Express is honestly the right call for one person catching a daytime train into Liverpool Street – it’s faster and it’s cheaper. Where the car earns its keep is at the edges: the first trains out of Liverpool Street leave at 03:40 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, 04:10 on Sundays and 04:40 Tuesday to Thursday, which is tight for the earliest departure wave out of Stansted, and the last train back from the airport leaves at 00:30, so a delayed late arrival lands into no train at all. The coach runs a similarly thin late-night timetable. That gap, in both directions, is where a pre-booked fixed-price car earns its keep.
Your Driver at Stansted Airport
Stansted has one terminal building – there’s no North or South side to specify, unlike Gatwick. Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall holding a name board, tracking your flight so a delay shifts the pickup time rather than costing you the booking. The Express Set Down area sits right next to the terminal, and the £10 charge there is already built into the fixed price above. Check the arrivals board and MILE5’s own Stansted Airport guide for terminal-specific detail on the day.

Stansted to Victoria Chauffeur – Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a Stansted Airport to Victoria transfer?
Fares start from £201 one way in the E-Class, £293 in the S-Class and £299 in the V-Class, fixed and agreed before you travel, the same in both directions.
Do you cover Victoria to Stansted Airport transfers too?
Yes – every booking runs in both directions at the same fixed price, whether you’re travelling out to Victoria or making the Victoria to Stansted Airport run afterwards.
Is the National Express coach cheaper than a chauffeur to Victoria?
On price alone, yes, the coach is the cheapest option. It’s also the slowest and least predictable once traffic builds, and the luggage allowance is limited, which is where the fixed-price, fixed-time chauffeur makes its case.
How long does the drive from Stansted Airport to Victoria take?
Around 60 to 85 minutes in normal traffic, depending on the time of day and conditions on the North Circular.
Is the Stansted Express cheaper than a chauffeur to Victoria?
On price alone for one person, yes. It’s about 48 minutes to Liverpool Street, but Victoria still needs a further Tube or rail change, which adds time and doesn’t help with luggage or a group travelling together.
What happens if my flight into Stansted is delayed?
Nothing changes on your end. Every Victoria booking is flight-tracked, so a delayed landing shifts your driver’s pickup time automatically rather than costing you the fare or the booking.
Can I book a larger vehicle for a family or group?
Yes – the V-Class seats up to seven with matching luggage space, and at £299 for the whole vehicle that works out at £43 a head for a full group.
Where does my driver meet me at Stansted Airport?
Inside the arrivals hall, holding a name board, for every Victoria booking. Stansted has a single terminal, so there’s no terminal number or side to specify.
