Stansted Airport to Harrods Transfer – Fixed Price to the Hans Crescent Entrance

A Stansted Airport to Harrods transfer is a fixed-price Mercedes chauffeur to the Harrods department store in Knightsbridge, around 60 to 85 minutes door to door and from £203 one way, running in both directions 24/7. The return leg, Harrods to Stansted Airport, is the same fixed fare and the same route in reverse. This route is for the Knightsbridge store itself, not to be confused with Harrods Aviation at Stansted, which MILE5 covers separately on its main Stansted Airport transfers page.

This journey is one of the routes on our Stansted airport transfers page, which covers every destination we drive from the airport with the same Mercedes fleet, the same met-at-arrivals pickup and the same fixed-price promise.

Harrods sits close to 41 miles south-west of Stansted Airport – back to the London transfer list for every other district MILE5 covers. The route runs the M11 and the North Circular before crossing into west-central London, and in normal traffic that’s around 60 to 85 minutes.

All prices are fixed and all-inclusive, agreed before you travel, in both directions. Final quote depends on exact pickup or drop-off address, vehicle choice and any additional stops. No surge pricing, no hidden fees.

Every fare includes in-terminal meet-and-greet inside the Stansted arrivals hall, flight tracking so a delayed landing doesn’t cost you the booking, and 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time. The £10 Express Set Down charge at the terminal is absorbed in the price shown, and so is the ULEZ charge and the Congestion Charge where the journey into Harrods crosses into the zone – the airport itself sits outside both, the charges belong to the journey, not the pickup. Split seven ways, £302 works out at £43 a head for the whole run, straightforward for a family or a group heading to the same address.

The Store as a Destination in Its Own Right

Harrods draws travellers who are heading straight to the store itself, not staying nearby and walking over, and that changes what actually matters about the transfer. The Hans Crescent entrance is the one most taxis and private cars use for drop-off, and a driver who defaults to the main Brompton Road entrance instead adds an unnecessary walk with luggage. MILE5 drivers use Hans Crescent as standard for this route.

MILE5 covers Harrods alongside the wider prime central cluster, including transfers to Mayfair, our Knightsbridge transfer service and how we price Belgravia.

Shopping With Luggage, and the Case for the V-Class

Arriving straight from the airport with cases already means less room for anything you buy, and a family shopping trip that ends in several large bags is a common enough pattern on this route that it’s worth planning for upfront. The V-Class seats up to seven with matching luggage space, which covers both the airport cases on the way in and the shopping on the way out, without a second vehicle or a cramped boot.

Harrods Chauffeur vs the Stansted Express vs a Hire Car

For one person travelling in daylight hours, the honest comparison starts with the train, not the car.

OptionJourney timeWorth knowing
MILE5 chauffeur60-85minDoor to door to the Hans Crescent entrance, fixed price, room for luggage on the way in and shopping on the way out
Stansted Express48min to Liverpool St + a changeWins on price and time to Liverpool Street itself, but Harrods needs a further Tube change – add 25-30 minutes and it’s a poor fit with luggage or shopping bags
Hire car60-85minSimilar drive time, but you’re finding parking near Knightsbridge yourself, and a boot already full of luggage leaves little room for purchases

For a group with luggage arriving outside the Stansted Express’s hours, the better comparison is a pre-booked chauffeur against a premium app-hailed car – see MILE5’s comparison of Uber Exec against Uber Lux in London.

What Running This Route Has Taught Us

The Stansted Express is honestly the right call for one person catching a daytime train into Liverpool Street – it’s faster and it’s cheaper. Where the car earns its keep is at the edges: the first trains out of Liverpool Street leave at 03:40 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, 04:10 on Sundays and 04:40 Tuesday to Thursday, which is tight for the earliest departure wave out of Stansted, and the last train back from the airport leaves at 00:30, so a delayed late arrival lands into no train at all. That gap, in both directions, is where a pre-booked fixed-price car earns its keep over a train ticket – and for a shopping trip that ends with several bags, the car is the only option that scales with what you’re bringing home.

Your Driver at Stansted Airport

Stansted has one terminal building – there’s no North or South side to specify, unlike Gatwick. Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall holding a name board, tracking your flight so a delay shifts the pickup time rather than costing you the booking. The Express Set Down area sits right next to the terminal, and the £10 charge there is already built into the fixed price above. Check the arrivals board and MILE5’s own Stansted Airport guide for terminal-specific detail on the day.

Stansted to Harrods Chauffeur – Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a Stansted Airport to Harrods transfer?

Fares start from £203 one way in the E-Class, £296 in the S-Class and £302 in the V-Class, fixed and agreed before you travel, the same in both directions.

Do you cover Harrods to Stansted Airport transfers too?

Yes – every booking runs in both directions at the same fixed price, whether you’re travelling out to Harrods or making the Harrods to Stansted Airport run afterwards.

Is this the same as a Harrods Aviation transfer?

No – this route is to the Harrods department store in Knightsbridge. Harrods Aviation, the private terminal at Stansted itself, is covered separately on MILE5’s main Stansted Airport transfers page.

Which entrance does the driver use for drop-off?

The Hans Crescent entrance, which is the one most taxis and private cars use, rather than the main Brompton Road entrance.

How long does the drive from Stansted Airport to Harrods take?

Around 60 to 85 minutes in normal traffic, depending on the time of day and route congestion.

Is the Stansted Express cheaper than a chauffeur to Harrods?

On price alone for one person, yes. It’s about 48 minutes to Liverpool Street, but Harrods still needs a further Tube change, which adds time and doesn’t help with luggage or shopping bags.

What happens if my flight into Stansted is delayed?

Nothing changes on your end. Every Harrods booking is flight-tracked, so a delayed landing shifts your driver’s pickup time automatically rather than costing you the fare or the booking.

Can I book a larger vehicle for a family or a shopping trip?

Yes – the V-Class seats up to seven with matching luggage space, and at £302 for the whole vehicle that works out at £43 a head for a full group.
