Stansted Airport to Fulham Transfer – Fixed Price on Matchday and Every Other Day

A Stansted Airport to Fulham transfer is a fixed-price Mercedes chauffeur, around 65 to 85 minutes door to door and from £222 one way, running in both directions 24/7. The return leg, Fulham to Stansted Airport, is the same fixed fare and the same route in reverse. Fulham sits on the north bank of the Thames in the far south-west of London – the wrong side of the city from Stansted, which is most of why the drive time runs longer here than on the central routes on this list.

This journey is one of the routes on our Stansted chauffeur service page, which covers every destination we drive from the airport with the same Mercedes fleet, the same met-at-arrivals pickup and the same fixed-price promise.

Fulham sits close to 49 miles south-west of Stansted Airport – see Stansted Airport to London, in full for every other district MILE5 covers. The route runs the M11 and the North Circular before crossing west London, and in normal traffic that’s around 65 to 85 minutes.

All prices are fixed and all-inclusive, agreed before you travel, in both directions. Final quote depends on exact pickup or drop-off address, vehicle choice and any additional stops. No surge pricing, no hidden fees.

Every fare includes in-terminal meet-and-greet inside the Stansted arrivals hall, flight tracking so a delayed landing doesn’t cost you the booking, and 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time. The £10 Express Set Down charge at the terminal is absorbed in the price shown, and so is the ULEZ charge and the Congestion Charge where the journey into Fulham crosses into the zone – the airport itself sits outside both, the charges belong to the journey, not the pickup. Split seven ways, £331 works out at £47 a head for the whole run – one car for a group heading to the same match rather than several separate fares.

The River, Two Football Grounds and Matchday Traffic

Fulham is a river borough first – the Thames Path runs along its whole northern edge, and the streets behind it are some of the quietest residential terraces in west London. It’s also home to two Premier League grounds: Craven Cottage, Fulham FC’s riverside stadium, and Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s ground, sitting just inside the Fulham side of the boundary. On a matchday, road closures and crowd management around both grounds can add real time to the final few miles of an otherwise straightforward drive, whichever ground the fixture is at.

MILE5 covers Fulham alongside the neighbouring south-west London riverside districts, including our Wandsworth transfer service, how we price Clapham, transfers to Battersea and the Vauxhall chauffeur transfer.

Booking Around a Fixture

For a matchday booking, the honest advice is to build in extra time on both ends – the drive itself doesn’t change, but the last mile into a road that’s partly closed for crowd safety does. MILE5 drivers flag matchday routes in advance and confirm the nearest safe drop-off point rather than assuming a normal-day route will hold on a Saturday afternoon with tens of thousands of people converging on the same few streets.

Fulham Chauffeur vs the Stansted Express vs a Hire Car

For one person travelling in daylight hours on a non-matchday, the honest comparison starts with the train, not the car.

OptionJourney timeWorth knowing
MILE5 chauffeur65-85minDoor to door, fixed price, matchday routes flagged and planned around in advance
Stansted Express + change48min to Liverpool St + a changeWins on price and time to Liverpool Street itself, but Fulham needs a further Underground leg west – a poor fit for matchday crowds or luggage
Hire car65-85minSimilar drive time, but parking near either ground on a matchday is genuinely difficult, on top of the ULEZ – already built into MILE5’s fixed price

For a group heading to the same fixture, the better comparison is a fixed-price car against a surge-priced one booked on the day – see MILE5’s comparison of Uber against Bolt in London.

What Running This Route Has Taught Us

The Stansted Express is honestly the right call for one person catching a daytime train into Liverpool Street on a normal day – it’s faster and it’s cheaper. Fulham is the far side of London from that though, so the connecting leg west eats into the saving, and on a matchday it disappears altogether once you add a crowded Underground change into the mix. Where the car earns its keep is at the edges too: the first trains out of Liverpool Street leave at 03:40 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, 04:10 on Sundays and 04:40 Tuesday to Thursday, which is tight for the earliest departure wave out of Stansted, and the last train back from the airport leaves at 00:30, so a delayed late arrival lands into no train at all. That gap, in both directions, is where a pre-booked fixed-price car earns its keep over a train-and-Underground combination.

Your Driver at Stansted Airport

Stansted has one terminal building – there’s no North or South side to specify, unlike Gatwick. Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall holding a name board, tracking your flight so a delay shifts the pickup time rather than costing you the booking. The Express Set Down area sits right next to the terminal, and the £10 charge there is already built into the fixed price above. Check the arrivals board and MILE5‘s own Stansted Airport guide for terminal-specific detail on the day.

Stansted to Fulham Chauffeur – Frequently Asked Questions

How much is a Stansted Airport to Fulham transfer?

Fares start from £222 one way in the E-Class, £321 in the S-Class and £331 in the V-Class, fixed and agreed before you travel, the same in both directions.

Do you cover Fulham to Stansted Airport transfers too?

Yes – every booking runs in both directions at the same fixed price, whether you’re travelling out to Fulham or making the Fulham to Stansted Airport run afterwards.

Can you handle a matchday pickup or drop-off?

Yes – MILE5 drivers flag matchday routes around Craven Cottage and Stamford Bridge in advance and confirm the nearest safe drop-off point rather than assuming a normal-day route will hold.

How long does the drive from Stansted Airport to Fulham take?

Around 65 to 85 minutes in normal traffic, running the M11 and the North Circular before crossing west London – longer on a matchday.

Is the Stansted Express cheaper than a chauffeur to Fulham?

On price alone for one person, yes. But Fulham sits on the far side of London from Liverpool Street, so the connecting leg west eats into the saving, more so with luggage or a matchday crowd.

Which ground is closer, Craven Cottage or Stamford Bridge?

Both sit inside the Fulham area covered by this page – tell MILE5 which fixture you’re headed to and the driver will plan the route and drop-off point around that specific ground.

What happens if my flight into Stansted is delayed?

Nothing changes on your end. Every Fulham booking is flight-tracked, so a delayed landing shifts your driver’s pickup time automatically rather than costing you the fare or the booking.

Can I book a larger vehicle for a group heading to a match?

Yes – the V-Class seats up to seven with matching luggage space, and at £331 for the whole vehicle that works out at £47 a head for a full group.
