Stansted Airport to Euston Transfer – Fixed Price to the West Coast Main Line
A Stansted Airport to Euston transfer is a fixed-price Mercedes chauffeur, around 60 to 85 minutes door to door and from £201 one way, running in both directions 24/7. The return leg, Euston to Stansted Airport, is the same fixed fare and the same route in reverse.
This journey is one of the routes on our Stansted chauffeur service page, which covers every destination we drive from the airport with the same Mercedes fleet, the same met-at-arrivals pickup and the same fixed-price promise.

Euston sits close to 40 miles south-west of Stansted Airport – see Stansted Airport to London, in full for every other district MILE5 covers. The route runs the M11 and the North Circular before crossing into central London, and in normal traffic that’s around 60 to 85 minutes.

All prices are fixed and all-inclusive, agreed before you travel, in both directions. Final quote depends on exact pickup or drop-off address, vehicle choice and any additional stops. No surge pricing, no hidden fees.
Every fare includes in-terminal meet-and-greet inside the Stansted arrivals hall, flight tracking so a delayed landing doesn’t cost you the booking, and 60 minutes of complimentary waiting time. The £10 Express Set Down charge at the terminal is absorbed in the price shown, and so is the ULEZ charge and the Congestion Charge where the journey into Euston crosses into the zone – the airport itself sits outside both, the charges belong to the journey, not the pickup. Split seven ways, £299 works out at £43 a head for the whole run, straightforward for a family or a group heading to the same address.
The West Coast Main Line, and Ongoing HS2 Works
Euston is a different kind of interchange to Stansted’s own rail line – it’s the London terminus for the West Coast Main Line, with direct trains onward to Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool and Glasgow, not the Cambridge corridor Stansted itself sits on. Anyone connecting through Euston to a West Coast destination is arriving from one rail network and joining a completely different one, and MILE5 treats that connection as its own kind of journey rather than a generic London drop-off.
The station forecourt has also been reshaped by ongoing HS2 construction works, and drop-off points and access roads have shifted more than once as the project has progressed. MILE5 drivers keep track of the current layout so a booking doesn’t end in a diversion around construction hoarding that changed since the last trip.
MILE5 covers Euston alongside the other north London stations and districts nearby, including the Kings Cross pickup page, the Islington chauffeur transfer and the Camden chauffeur transfer.
Why a Connecting Train Changes the Timing
Missing a connecting West Coast train because of a late arrival at Euston costs more than the fare – it can mean rebooking an onward ticket at short notice. MILE5 builds the pickup around your connecting departure time, working backwards from it with enough margin for the current forecourt layout, rather than quoting a generic drive-time estimate.
Euston Chauffeur vs the Stansted Express vs a Hire Car
For one person travelling in daylight hours, the honest comparison starts with the train, not the car.
| Option | Journey time | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|
| MILE5 chauffeur | 60-85min | Door to door, fixed price, drivers who track the current HS2 forecourt layout |
| Stansted Express | 48min to Liverpool St + a change | Wins on price and time to Liverpool Street itself, but Euston needs a further Tube or taxi change – add 20-30 minutes and it does nothing for luggage or a tight connection |
| Hire car | 60-85min | Similar drive time, but you’re finding parking near a construction-affected forecourt yourself |
For a group with luggage arriving outside the Stansted Express’s hours, the better comparison is a pre-booked chauffeur against an app-hailed car – see MILE5’s comparison of Uber against Bolt in London.
What Running This Route Has Taught Us
The Stansted Express is honestly the right call for one person catching a daytime train into Liverpool Street – it’s faster and it’s cheaper. Where the car earns its keep is at the edges: the first trains out of Liverpool Street leave at 03:40 on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays, 04:10 on Sundays and 04:40 Tuesday to Thursday, which is tight for the earliest departure wave out of Stansted, and the last train back from the airport leaves at 00:30, so a delayed late arrival lands into no train at all. That gap, in both directions, is where a pre-booked fixed-price car earns its keep over a train ticket – and for a tight West Coast connection at Euston, a driver who already knows where the current drop-off point is matters more than the saving.
Your Driver at Stansted Airport
Stansted has one terminal building – there’s no North or South side to specify, unlike Gatwick. Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall holding a name board, tracking your flight so a delay shifts the pickup time rather than costing you the booking. The Express Set Down area sits right next to the terminal, and the £10 charge there is already built into the fixed price above. Check the arrivals board and MILE5’s own Stansted Airport guide for terminal-specific detail on the day.

Stansted to Euston Chauffeur – Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a Stansted Airport to Euston transfer?
Fares start from £201 one way in the E-Class, £294 in the S-Class and £299 in the V-Class, fixed and agreed before you travel, the same in both directions.
Do you cover Euston to Stansted Airport transfers too?
Yes – every booking runs in both directions at the same fixed price, whether you’re travelling out to Euston or making the Euston to Stansted Airport run afterwards.
Do HS2 works affect the drop-off point at Euston?
The forecourt layout has changed more than once as construction has progressed. MILE5 drivers keep track of the current access points so a booking isn’t caught out by a recent change.
Can you time a pickup around a connecting West Coast train?
Yes – mention your connecting departure time when you book and MILE5 will work the pickup backwards from it, with margin for the current forecourt layout.
How long does the drive from Stansted Airport to Euston take?
Around 60 to 85 minutes in normal traffic, depending on the time of day and route congestion.
Is the Stansted Express cheaper than a chauffeur to Euston?
On price alone for one person, yes. It’s about 48 minutes to Liverpool Street, but Euston still needs a further Tube or taxi change, which adds time and risk if you’re catching a tight onward connection.
What happens if my flight into Stansted is delayed?
Nothing changes on your end. Every Euston booking is flight-tracked, so a delayed landing shifts your driver’s pickup time automatically rather than costing you the fare or the booking.
Can I book a larger vehicle for a family or group?
Yes – the V-Class seats up to seven with matching luggage space, and at £299 for the whole vehicle that works out at £43 a head for a full group.
