Chauffeur service prices in London
Most London chauffeur companies quote by the hour with a three or four hour minimum, so a single airport run can cost more than the journey is worth. MILE5 prices point to point instead. You enter your pickup and destination, you see the price for each vehicle class, and that is the price you pay. It does not change if your flight lands late, if the traffic is bad, or if it is New Year’s Eve.

How much does a private chauffeur cost in London?
With MILE5 you pay a fixed price for the journey rather than an hourly rate. Heathrow transfers start at £86, Heathrow to a London hotel at £140, Heathrow to central London at £143 and airport to airport at £196, per vehicle rather than per passenger. Many London chauffeur firms charge by the hour with a three or four hour minimum; we price the journey instead. As directed hire, tours, weddings and shopping trips are quoted on request.
What is the difference between a chauffeur and a taxi?
A taxi is hailed or dispatched to you, metered, and driven by whoever is nearest. A chauffeur is booked in advance, assigned to you by name, priced before the journey, and trained to wait, carry luggage and stay discreet. The car is a Mercedes kept to a set standard rather than whatever the driver owns.
Is there a minimum journey?
Yes, 3 miles. Below that a chauffeur booking does not make sense for either side and a local taxi will serve you better.
Do you only cover London?
No. London and the five airports are where most of our work is, but we drive anywhere in mainland Britain. Oxford, Cambridge, Brighton, Bath, the Cotswolds, Southampton and Dover cruise terminals and the northern cities are all regular runs, priced as a fixed one-way fare rather than by the mile.
Can I book on someone else’s behalf?
Yes, and a lot of our work comes that way, from PAs, hotel concierges and event organisers. Put the passenger’s name and mobile on the booking and we will deal with them directly on the day while the confirmation and invoice come to you.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
Nothing changes and you pay nothing extra. We track the flight from take-off and move the pickup to the actual landing time, then give you 60 minutes of free waiting from the moment you land. Cancellations on London airport journeys are free more than 4 hours ahead, 50 per cent between 2 and 4 hours, and charged in full inside 2 hours.
