London Fashion Week returns in February 2027, and MILE5 collects show-week arrivals inside the terminal at Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton for a fixed price: Heathrow to Mayfair from £147 in a Mercedes E-Class, flight-tracked, with 60 minutes of free waiting and a Mercedes V-Class for teams travelling with rails and sample cases.
MILE5 Limited is a TfL-licensed private hire operator (licence 009161) providing fixed-price Mercedes chauffeur airport transfers across London, with 15+ years and 50,000+ transfers completed. The office is two minutes from Heathrow on Bath Road, which is why the Heathrow chauffeur service is the one most fashion-week clients use. This guide covers the February 2027 edition: dates, where the shows are, what it costs to get from each airport to Mayfair and the Strand, what to do with your luggage between shows, and how the pickup works when you land.
When Is the Next London Fashion Week and Where Are the Shows?
London Fashion Week runs twice a year on the British Fashion Council’s published schedule. The next edition is the Autumn/Winter 2027 season in February 2027. The British Fashion Council has not yet published the dates; provisional listings point to around 18 to 22 February, between New York (8 to 12 February) and Milan (from 23 February). The previous edition, Spring/Summer 2027, ran from Thursday 17 to Monday 21 September 2026. Industry arrivals bunch in the day or two before the first shows, and departures peak on the final evening and the morning after, as teams move on to Milan. There is no single official show venue: shows and presentations are spread across central London, with the Strand, Mayfair and the West End the usual clusters, so check the official schedule for each show’s location before you book the car.
What that means for transport: the Strand and Mayfair are the two clusters that matter, and the airports feed them differently. Transatlantic teams and BA long-haul land at Heathrow Terminal 5; most European carriers use Terminal 2 or 3; production crews and models on easyJet or Ryanair arrive at Gatwick, Stansted or Luton. February in London is cold and often wet, so garment bags need to go from carousel to car without a walk across a car park.
Where Can You Store Luggage During London Fashion Week?
Most show-week visitors have three options for luggage between the airport, the venue and the hotel: leave it with the hotel concierge (every Mayfair and Strand hotel will hold bags before check-in and after check-out at no charge), use a staffed left-luggage counter (Excess Baggage Company runs the left-luggage office at Charing Cross station, a few minutes’ walk from the Strand, priced per item per day), or book a locker or shop-based storage through an app such as Stasher or Bounce, which cost a few pounds a day and cluster around Covent Garden and Oxford Circus. Where the car actually stops at The Savoy on the Strand and at the Mayfair hotels is covered in our guide to where chauffeurs pull up at ten London hotels.
None of those suit a team carrying a rail of samples that is needed at two venues on the same day. For that MILE5 offers a chauffeur booked by the hour: the car and everything in it stays with you between a show on the Strand, a presentation in Mayfair and the hotel, so nothing is stored, unpacked or carried through a lobby twice. It is the arrangement PR teams tend to move to after one season of taxis and storage counters.
How Much Is an Airport Transfer to London Fashion Week?
These are MILE5’s current fixed prices for the routes show-week clients book most, taken from the live rate card. Every price includes the meet and greet inside the terminal, flight tracking, 60 minutes of free waiting after landing, luggage help and all airport charges. Nothing rises on the busy arrival days.
| Route | Journey time | Mercedes E-Class | Mercedes S-Class | Mercedes V-Class MPV |

| Luton to Mayfair | 55–75 min | From £192 | From £279 | From £284 |
Journey times are typical daytime ranges; evening show traffic around the Strand adds 15 to 20 minutes. Prices for every Heathrow route are published on one page, and the Gatwick, Stansted and Luton hubs carry theirs.
Which Mercedes Do You Need for Show Week?
Mercedes V-Class: teams, rails and sample cases
The V-Class carries up to seven passengers, or a smaller team with the rear seats configured for cases and hanging garment bags. Sliding doors let a rail go in at a hotel entrance under the canopy rather than across a pavement, and the cabin has its own climate control. It is the vehicle production crews and PR teams arriving at Stansted or Gatwick with a full baggage allowance should book; a saloon will not take it, and a ride-hailing driver who sees the cases at the kerb will often cancel. Fixed V-Class prices are in the table above.
Mercedes S-Class and E-Class: designers, editors, talent
Both are unmarked black Mercedes with tinted rear glass, driven by a TfL-licensed chauffeur in a suit who meets you inside the terminal with a name board rather than at a ride-app pickup zone. The S-Class is the quieter, longer car for a designer or executive travelling alone; the E-Class does the same job for a stylist, editor or buyer with two or three cases. Either takes hanging garment bags laid flat in the boot. If discretion is the point, the difference from an app car is where you are collected, not the badge on the bonnet: see how a chauffeur pickup differs from an Uber one at Heathrow.
How Does the Pickup Work When You Land?
MILE5 tracks the inbound flight and adjusts the pickup to the actual landing time, so an early or late arrival costs nothing. The chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with a name board; the exact meeting point for your terminal is confirmed in the booking. From there it is a short covered walk to the car, bags go straight from the trolley into the boot, and the 60 minutes of free waiting starts at touchdown, which covers a long-haul baggage wait at Terminal 5 comfortably.
Terminal notes for show-week arrivals: BA long-haul from New York, Los Angeles and Tokyo lands at Heathrow Terminal 5; Lufthansa, Swiss and most Star Alliance connections use Terminal 2; Virgin Atlantic, Emirates and most oneworld carriers other than BA use Terminal 3. If you are meeting a colleague rather than travelling yourself, the Heathrow live arrivals and taxi page shows the flight status the chauffeur is watching. Teams landing at Stansted can check the Stansted airport guide for the walk from Ryanair arrivals to the pickup.
Fixed Price or App Surge on the Busy Days?
Ride-hailing apps price dynamically, and the opening days of show week are exactly the kind of concentrated demand that pushes a Heathrow to Mayfair app fare well above its quiet-day estimate, with longer waits and more cancellations when a driver sees the luggage. A MILE5 price is agreed at booking and does not move: from £147 Heathrow to Mayfair on the busiest evening of the week, in a car allocated to your name. On a quiet Tuesday in August an app car may well be cheaper; during fashion week the fixed price is the predictable option, and it is the one a team can put on an invoice in advance. The surge mechanics are explained in our Uber versus Bolt comparison for London.
Booking for a Team: Corporate Accounts for Show Week
PR agencies, fashion houses and production companies moving several people over the show days can book through a MILE5 business account: with dedicated invoicing, so every show-week journey sits on one account. Show-week transfers between the hotel and the Strand, or to a dinner in Mayfair, sit on the same account as the airport runs. Hotel-to-hotel and hotel-to-venue journeys are priced on the London hotel transfers page. Another event teams often book on the same account is World Travel Market at ExCeL in November.
London Fashion Week Airport Transfer FAQs
What are the dates of the next London Fashion Week?
The September 2026 edition ran from Thursday 17 to Monday 21 September, per the British Fashion Council’s schedule. The next edition is the Autumn/Winter 2027 season in February 2027. The British Fashion Council has not confirmed the dates yet; provisional listings point to around 18 to 22 February 2027.
How much is a chauffeur from Heathrow to Mayfair during fashion week?
From £147 in a Mercedes E-Class, from £204 in an S-Class and from £205 in a V-Class, fixed at booking and inclusive of meet and greet, flight tracking, 60 minutes’ waiting and airport charges. The price is the same on the busiest arrival day as on any other.
Where can I leave luggage between shows?
Your hotel concierge will hold bags free of charge; the Excess Baggage Company left-luggage office at Charing Cross station is a few minutes’ walk from the Strand; and app-based storage such as Stasher or Bounce offers shop and locker space nearby for a few pounds a day. A team with samples is usually better served by a chauffeur booked by the hour, so the cases stay in the car.
Can a MILE5 car take garment rails and sample cases?
Yes. The Mercedes V-Class takes hanging garment bags and stacked cases with seats configured for luggage, and up to seven passengers with them stowed. Tell us the case count when booking and the right vehicle is allocated; nothing is left at the kerb.
How do you keep a designer’s arrival private?
The chauffeur meets you inside the arrivals hall with a discreet name board and walks you to an unmarked black Mercedes with tinted rear glass under cover, so there is no wait at the outdoor ride-app pickup zones. Chauffeurs are TfL-licensed, DBS-checked and employed for exactly this kind of work.
Which Heathrow terminal will I arrive at?
British Airways long-haul uses Terminal 5; Lufthansa, Swiss, United and Air Canada use Terminal 2; Virgin Atlantic, American, Emirates and Delta use Terminal 3 (Qatar Airways uses Terminal 4). Check your airline the day before; the guides linked above cover each terminal’s arrivals hall.
Can the public attend London Fashion Week?
The runway shows are industry-only, by invitation from each designer’s PR team. The British Fashion Council announces any public-facing programme alongside the schedule each season.
Is London Fashion Week twice a year?
Yes: February for Autumn/Winter and September for Spring/Summer. The stand-alone June menswear edition no longer runs; the next season is February 2027.
